My Crabby Patty

The Doodle has been a little crabby the last couple of days; full of piss and vinegar. Nothing too crazy or alarming, just overly fussy like he's cutting a tooth or got dumped by his girlfriend if he had one. Maybe he's ticked off because he's wearing pajamas that completely do not match or he's grown tired of the orange tee shirt his dad wears every single day. I wish I could ask him and he could tell me what's bothering him. Maybe he doesn't like being autistic or the antiseizure medicine makes him feel like crap.

I almost hate to post this because I don't want to jinx anything...but the Doodle is 3 days seizure free! No head drop seizures. No grand mal seizures. I'm not sure if you can tell but I'm doing my happy dance right now. I will continue to put my positive thoughts out there to the universe to continue this blessing. You can see the biggest difference in what he understands and his learning potential when the seizures have subsided. His mind is clearer. He is much sharper. He's got better eye contact.

Yet, as completely supercalifragilisticexpialidocious as this is, I still sit and wait.

And pray.

  1. It was so great to see you after so long in your beautiful home with your sweet boy. I was inspired by his magnificent spirit (and yours). Can you begin to imagine who he was before he came to you? Superior to the point that only this kind of trial could provide growth for him. I've always admired all of your many talents and abilities. Now I see their purpose. You are a perfect couple! I love and miss you.
